Some progress

MAP - July 20
Here it is the start of another week, and I have a bit of progress on some of my projects.  Work has kept me busy, so there isn't as much time to stitch in the evenings, but at least I have made some progress.

Mysterious Adventurer Project - MAP - now this project got a little bit of time this week but not as much as I would have liked.  I was able to get some more of the outline of the border done, and that makes me feel good.  I would have liked to get the remainder of the outline done, but that is going to have to wait until this week when I hope that I can find some time to work on this piece again.
MAP - July 24

Last Monday, the next section of the pattern was released, and that was how to determine our coastline for the map.  The coastline is going to be stitched from top to bottom on the piece, so that meant figuring out how it was going to look.  This took some time to determine as it meant rolling dice and flipping a coin to determine in which direction the coastline went.  I love the outcome that I got so now to work on getting the border at least outlined so that I can start stitching the coastline.

Linen and Threads Mystery SAL ' 19 - July 10
Linen and Threads Mystery SAL'19 - I finally picked this piece up again and got a few more stitches in on it.  I haven't finished the July section yet, and the August section should be available on Wednesday morning, so I better get moving on this piece.

Linen and Threads Mystery SAL '19 - July 28
I don't have a lot more of the July section to finish so I hope that before too long I will have this done and then can work on MAP again while I wait for the August section of this design to be released.  I tried to get the rest of the backstitching done that I needed to do yesterday, but the heat and humidity were a little much, so it wasn't a time where stitching even sitting outside was enjoyable.

With the new section being released this week, it will mean that we are getting closer to having the entire design done.  There are three sections to fill in and then the border left to stitch, and I am looking forward to seeing what the next section is going to be that we stitch.  I think it might be the bottom middle section, but I am not sure, I will see on Wednesday what it is.

The heat and humidity have returned here for us, and it has meant a few days of not wanting to do a lot.  The forecast is for the humidity to finally ease tomorrow, but I will wait and see if that happens.

I now have to go and get some work done and will see how much stitching I can do this week in the evenings.  Hopefully, the weather will be a little cooler, and I can enjoy some stitching time even if it is just a few minutes.

Hope everyone has a great week and you find the time to do something that you enjoy each day.

A finish and progress

Mikros - July 14
Here it is another Monday morning, and I was able to get a bit of stitching done but not as much as I thought I was going to be able to do.  The heat and humidity were really bad this last week, so it resulted in a lot of evening of just sitting and relaxing and not doing anything.

Mikros -  I am very happy with the progress that I was able to make on this project this week, and it is now finished.  I know that some of the colours aren't showing up as well on the picture, so a couple of my boats look like they are missing something and one of the buildings looks a little od, but they are fine when you see the piece in person.
Mikros - July 17

MAP - July 14
MAP - July 20
This was a fun piece to work on, and it gave me some ideas for the larger piece, which is one of the reasons why I stitched this one first. The biggest help this gave me was helping in deciding on some of the colours that I wanted to s in my project.  I know that I could change the colours on the big project at any time, but this helped me see what worked on the fabric and what didn't work so well.

I now need to frame this piece, and then it will be totally complete, and I hope to be able to do that soon as I already have the frame for it.

Mysterious Adventure Project (MAP) - now this project got a bit of attention over the weekend but again not as much as I would have liked. I was able to get some more of the border finished up and even get a bit of one of the colours added.  As this project is rather large, it is going to take some time before any real progress can be seen.  The border measures 11 inches x 17 inches, so it is again another large project that I am working on.

I was trying to get all of the inner lines of the border completed before last night as the new part of this pattern was to be released this morning, but it was released last night.  The next part of the MAP is the coastline that I will be generating.  This is going to involve plotting out the coastline that will help establish the rest of the piece.  Before I stitch the coastline, I am going to be graphing it to ensure that I know how it is going to turn out before I put the stitches onto the fabric.

I am looking forward to seeing some more progress on this piece over the next week or so.  I also hope that I can finish up the July section of the Linen and Threads Mystery SAL 2019 so that I can start up to date on that piece as well.

It is now time for me to get some work done and I hope that with the cooler weather that is in the forecast that I can enjoy some stitching in the evening this week.  I will have to wait and see what actually happens as I never know when work will need to be done in the evenings.

Hope everyone has a great week and you find some time to do the things that you enjoy even if it is only a few minutes each day.

Some progress this week

Linen and Threads Mystery SAL '19 - July 10
Here it is another Monday morning, and I have to admit that last week was a different week, so the stitching was also a little all over the place.

Linen and Threads Mystery SAL ' 19 - I have finally started to work on the July section of this piece.  It is coming along ok but have to admit that I would love to get this section done so maybe this week I will try and focus on it for a bit longer than I did last week.  It isn't a big section, so if I could sit and focus on it, I think I could get it done pretty quickly.  I love this overall project so now to get back to getting each month done.  I will have this finished before the August section comes out as I don't want to get behind on this project.

Mikros - July 6
Mikros - here is one of the projects that got a little more attention this week but again not as much as I would have liked.  This project is only 3 inches by 5 inches so it shouldn't take me too long to finish, but it has been a bit of a challenge to work on.

Mikros - July 14
The pattern hasn't been a challenge as I love it but it is some of the emotions that I have had to deal with over the last week, and it impacted some of my stitching, and this was the piece that bothered me to work on.  I have now got over the issue with a person, so I am now back to working on it and am looking forward to seeing what it looks like when it is completed.  This past weekend I was able to show it to a couple of friends, and they loved how it was turning out, and that motivated me to get back to working on it and not let the other issue bother me any longer.

I know that if I could sit and work on this project for an evening or two, I should be able to get it finished and that is going to be one of my goals for this week.  I would like to have this finished as there isn't a lot more to go on it.

Mysterious Adventure Project - July 7
Mysterious Adventure Project - here is a project that also didn't get a lot of attention this past week, but at least I was able to get the first round of the border completed.  Last night I finished the first round of the border, and it met up so now I am going to start to work on getting the rest of the border at least worked on.  I don't think I will get all the various sections of the border completed by next Monday when the next section is released, but I would like to make some progress on it.

Mysterious Adventure Project - July 14
Now that I have the outline of the border completed, it should be easier to get some of the other sections completed.  I have a lot of work to go on the border, but if I can work a bit at a time on it, I think I should be able to see some good progress on it over this next week.

Roses, etc. - now these projects have been given a bit of a break while I work on these three projects and I will see once Mikros is done what will make an appearance.  I know that getting projects moved forward makes me feel good, and right now I am trying to focus on a couple of projects at a time, so I will see how things go after this week.

Here it is Monday, and I have quite a few things that I need to work on so I am now going to go and get that work done.  I hope everyone has a great week and you find a bit of time to do the things that you enjoy doing.  If you are in the middle of summer like we are, please try and stay cool.

Progress on items

Here it is another week, and yes, I was able to get some progress on a couple of projects and a new start.

Roses - July 1

Roses - July 4
Roses - here it is another week and yet another picture of some progress on Roses.  I was able to continue to work on this piece for 100 days in a row but made a decision that I needed a break from it.  I have enjoyed working on this piece each day, but I started to make too many little mistakes that I thought I needed to take a break from it, and that doesn't bother me.  I have been able to make some excellent progress on this piece, and it isn't going away it is just taking a bit of a vacation, and hopefully, I will get back to it very soon.   I still want to get it finished by the end of March next year so will see how that goes.

I have to admit that it has felt odd not working on Roses each day, but I have also been able to enjoy working on some of the other projects that I wanted to get worked on, so that is what I have been doing.

Mikros - July 1
Mikros - here is where some of my time has gone over the last week, and that is to work on Mikros and see how much of it I could get done.  I am still hoping that I will have this piece finished by the end of this coming week but will see what happens.

Mikros - July 6
The border on this piece did take longer than I thought it was going to do, but I like how it turned out once it was done.  I have now started to fill in all the various little designs on the piece, and it is slowly coming to life, and I am enjoying it.

The other advantage of working on this piece is I was able to figure out a method of getting the border done quickly, and that is good considering another project that I am doing.  The red and white around the entire piece was what I wanted to figure out how to get it done easily, and while doing this piece, I have now figured out an easy method of doing it.  I decided that I would try doing both the colours at once, so that is what I did, and now I will be doing it again on another piece.

MAP - July 7
MAP (Mysterious Adventure Project) -  here is a new start on this project.  I had a bit of a start a couple of weeks ago, but after looking at it, I didn't like the fabric that I was using and considering how large this piece is I needed to love the fabric and what the stitches looked like on it.

I restarted this piece yesterday and have been working on getting around the entire outside of it.  The final piece will fit into a 13"x19" frame with about .75" around this border, so there is a lot of work involved in getting this piece finished.  The border on this piece is similar to the border on Mikros, so that is why I enjoyed figured out how to get it done on a smaller version.

This project is a mystery stitch along, and I am looking forward to seeing what it looks like once I have it all finished, but that won't be for a while as the last part of the design isn't released until the middle of November.

I have been working on a lot of other things besides my stitching but have enjoyed stitching some evenings even with the heat that we have had in the last week.  I hope that things are a little cooler this week as it makes it hard to work when it is so hot out.

I now have some things that I need to get done and hope that I can find time some evenings to do the things that I enjoy doing.  Hope everyone has a great week and hope you can also find a bit of time each day to do something that you love doing.

Progress and two new starts

Roses - June 23
Here it is Tuesday morning, and I am writing up about the progress for the last week.  I didn't write yesterday as it was a holiday here and I spend some of the time away from the computer which was nice.

Roses- July 1
Roses - I was able to get some work on this piece over the last week but as you can see it didn't get as much attention as it has been getting.  I was able to get another two pages finished even if they were small.  It is nice saying that I am now half way through this project and am looking forward to seeing it move forward over the next while. Now to see how much stitching I get done on this piece over the next couple of weeks as I have another project that I am trying to get finished quickly.

MAP - July 1
MAP - Mysterious Adventure Project - now this is a project that I started this last week, and it is another stitch along, and this one is by Ink Circles.  I can't show a picture of the finished piece as it is something that will be released a bit at a time over the next five months.  Also, the idea behind this project is you use dice to decide some of your layouts.

I am looking forward to working on this piece and seeing what my final MAP will look like.

I have just started working on the border of the design, and it is going to be rather large so that is going to take me some time to do once I can sit and focus on working on it.  We also get to pick a name for our map, so that is something else that I am trying to figure out, but I don't need it until August.

Mikros - July 1
Mikros - here is a small map that I am working on, and it was a bonus chart when you signed up to do the Mysterious Adventure Project.  I figured it was something that I wanted to work on and get done, so that is what I have been working on.  I hope to have this map finished within the next couple of weeks as it is only 3 inches x 5 inches so not as big as the other one is going to be.

This map was charted for us, so there wasn't any design work required to start this one so I picked my colours for this map and off I went.  The fabric that I am using is an 18 count Aida which I tea and coffee dyed as I wanted something that looks old.  The colours don't show up too well in the picture, but it does have a worn look.

It is now time for me to start to focus on getting the work done that I need to finish up today.  Hope everyone has a great week and you find time to do the things that you love each day.  You may not have a lot of time to do your own things, but finding a little bit of time to do the things you love is important.
