Progress on some pieces

Unleash the Butterflies - March 24
It's Monday morning, and yes I can say that I was able to make a little bit of progress on some projects this week and I am happy with what I was able to accomplish.

Unleash the Butterflies - I decided to try and see if I could get some more stitches done on this piece this week and I was able to accomplish that.  I have to admit that the picture of what I accomplished isn't the greatest, but at least it is a picture.

Unleash the Butterflies - March 26
I have continued to work on the page to see how much more of it I could get finished and I am slowly seeing that I am getting closer to being at the top of this page and then I can work on another page.  I have the goal of finished this page in April but will see how long it takes me to do that.

I know that I am going to try and work on this piece again in April as my goal is to see a page finished so that is one of the goals that I would like to achieve.  I feel like being able to get this page done would also help me see that this project is slowly moving forward.

Temperature 2019 - Feb 5
Temperature - 2019 - now this project hasn't been touched since the beginning of February and part of that is because I needed to think about if I was going to actually do the design for this year or if it was something that I was just going to skip.
Temperature 2019 - March 28

It doesn't take me too long to get one day stitched, but when you are over two months behind on the design, it does take quite a bit of time to see any progress on it so now to see what happens.  I hope that in April I can put a little bit more effort into this piece as I would like to see that I can continue to move it forward even a bit at a time and then maybe see that I can get it caught up, but I know that is going to take some time before that is done.

Roses - March 22
Roses - I have to say that I am loving working on this piece and can't wait to see more of it finished. I am not sure if it is the single colour that I am liking or the amount of detail that you can see when you do some of the stitching.  I have been able to get some pages finished in March so now I have 8 out of the 57 pages finished, and I am looking forward to seeing how many more pages I can get finished this year.

Roses - March 31
This last week we were looking at frames for this piece, and I think that is when I realized the actual size of this piece.  Looking at a rather large frame and realizing it is what I need to for this was something that was hard to understand.  The frame that we were looking at was 22 inches by 28 inches, and that is just a little bit bigger than the finished piece.  Seeing the size of the frame and then thinking about the piece just didn't seem to match but then I realized that when I am stitching I am only seeing 11 inches x 17 inches at a time so I really don't see the entire piece very often.

In April I am going to try and work on this piece as well as I would really like to see more of the roses appear and more of the overall detail.

I hope that this week I can work a little more on Roses and actually do a bit of stitching on the Linen and Threads Mystery SAL April section.  It was released yesterday morning, and I was able to get any of it stitched yesterday so will see how this week goes for it.

It is now time for me to get the work done that is currently on my desk as it is the 1st of the month and always a busy day for us.  Hope everyone has a great week and you are able to find some time to do some of the things that you love to do.

Some progress

Roses - March 17
Here it is Monday morning and yes there was a little bit of stitching done last week.  I am happy with the progress that I was able to make considering it was an extremely busy week.

Roses - here is a project that I am really enjoying working on and can't wait to see more of it done.  I was able to spend a bit of time working on this and am starting to see one of the roses to really come to life.

Roses - March 22
It makes me feel so good seeing that at least one of the roses is starting to appear and I will see what it looks like after this week as I hope that I can spend a little bit of time working on adding a few more stitches to this piece.  I have now finished 7 pages out of the 60 pages so I am slowly seeing some progress on this but again it isn't going to be something that I see finished very fast.

I had originally figured out that I would be able to get about 12 pages of this pattern done this year but considering I have completed 6 already it looks like I might be able to get more than the 12 done but will have to wait and see how things go over the rest of the year as I know that there are other things that are going to be needing my attention over the rest of the year.

Unleash the Butterflies - March 17
Unleash the Butterflies - I again was able to spend a bit of time working on Unleash the Butterflies and the page is slowly starting to get completed.  I really enjoy working on this piece as it is so different than a lot of the projects that I have worked on in the past.

I again know that this project is going to be taking some time to get finished but that doesn't bother me as I am enjoying working on it even when I don't get a lot of time to sit and stitch.  I hope to have the page that I am working on finished in April and then I will be able to start to see more of the design come to life.  I would like to see that I could get 4 or 5 pages of this design done before the end of the year but I will have to wait and see what really happens.  My plans are some ideas and something that I try for but if I don't get there because of other parts of my life I am not upset.
Unleash the Butterflies - March 24

Linen and Threads Mystery SAL '19 - of course, there is no update with this piece as I am still waiting for the April section to be released and it hopefully will be out before the end of this week.

This week I hope to find a bit of time to work on a couple of projects but that will all depend on everything else.  I know that just sitting and stitching my mind back together at the end of the day is wonderful so now to see if I can find those little bits of time during this week.

It is now time for me to get some of the work off my desk and then see what the rest of the week has in store.  Hope everyone has a great week and you find some time to do the things that you love to do.

Progress and a small finish

Unleash the Butterflies - March 9
It is Monday morning and I am happy to say that I was able to get some progress last week on a couple of projects.

Unleash the Butterflies - March 17
Unleash the Butterflies - now this is a project that I am trying to get some progress on and it is taking quite a bit of time to see much progress on it but I am still working on it and loving it.  I was able to spend some time this weekend working on it and have been able to move things forward a bit.

I hope that I can continue to stitch on this piece as I would like to see if I can get a little closer to a page finish before the end of the month.  I don't think the page finish will happen until April but at least seeing a bit more progress on the overall page would make me feel good.

Roses - March 5
Roses - this is another Heaven and Earth design that I am working on and am enjoying seeing the progress on it even if it is also slow.  Just making sure that I can spend a little bit of time on this project each week is making me feel good as it is showing me that this project is slowly coming together.

Roses - March 17
This weekend I decided that I would try and figure out a frame size for this piece so that I can start keeping my eyes open for a frame that we like as well as a frame that is on sale.  I did some calculating and the size frame that Roses is going to need is 24 inches x 30 inches.  It is rather a large piece but I am going to be very happy to see it finished but I also know that I won't be seeing it finished in the next couple of months.

One of the roses is now finally starting to appear and it is fun to see what it lots like each time I finish a stitching session.  Sometimes it doesn't look like much and then another time it looks like something is starting to appear.

I hope that I can put a few more stitches in on this piece before the end of the month.  If I can see a bit more of this rose start to appear it would be something but only time will tell as I will have to see how much stitching time I have in the evenings.

Happy Finishes Everyone - here is a piece that was a quick stitch and something that I was able to work on when I went to a stitching night with friends.  I normally try to have something that is easy to stitch when I go to this event as we probably do as much chatting as stitching when we are there but it is a get together once a month that we all enjoy.
Happy Finishes Everyone - March 16

The pattern called for DMC colours and I decided that I would use some of my over-dyed flosses to complete this pattern and am happy with the results.

This week is once again another busy week for me so I will see what stitching time I can find in the evenings.  I have enjoyed the progress that I have made on the projects this past week and will see what happens this week. I now have some things that are sitting waiting to be worked on so I better get to them.

Hope everyone has a great week and you find some time to do the things that you enjoy.

Some progress on a couple of big projects

Roses - March 3
It's Monday and here it is without a lot of progress on things.   I have decided to try and focus on a couple of projects instead of bouncing between a lot of different things.  I picked two of the large Heaven and Earth Designs as my focus on this week and am happy to have a bit of progress on both of them.

Roses - March 5
Roses - I made a bit of progress on Roses and was able to get another page finish so I now have 5 pages of this pattern completed.  It is so nice to have a project that I can pick up and work on a little bit at a time.  With this project being done in all black it makes it easy to work on as I can just pick up and work on it without having to worry about what colour I need to select.

I hope to be able to continue to work on this piece again later this month as it would be nice to see another page finished but will see how things go.  This project will not be done quickly but at least if I can see bits of progress done I will feel a little better.

Unleash the Butterflies - Feb 27
Unleash the Butterflies -  here is the full coverage Heaven and Earth design that I am working on.  It makes me happy to see some progress on this design.  This design has 14 colours so again something that doesn't take a lot of effort to see a little bit of progress on.  I know that if I can spend some time working on the design it is still going to take me a long time to see this design finished.

I am looking forward to seeing another page finished on this design but I know that it is going to take me some time to do.  I quickly got the first page completed as it was only a small page but this page is going to take a while to get completed as I have just get the top of the page reached in a couple of spots.  Even after getting to the top of this page I still have another 3 pages above this to do as well as three pages across.
Unleash the Butterflies - March 9

I am enjoying working on these projects as they are both something that I can put a few stitches in on and feel good about it.  I hope that this week I can work on at least Unleash for a while and then see what other project gets some attention.

It is another odd week for me with work so will see how things go.  I have things that I need to get done so I better get working on them and hopefully this evening I will have a little bit of time where I can curl up and work on a project. Hope everyone has a good week and can find a bit of time to do the things that you love doing.

Where did the last week go?

Unleash the Butterflies - February 27
It is Monday morning and I am going to try and show you what I was able to work on last week. I was able to make some progress on a couple of projects as well as finish two other pieces.  I love when I can find the quick stitch pieces because it really does look like I have spent hours stitching when I really haven't.

Unleash the Butterflies - February 24
Unleash the Butterflies - this is one of the full coverage pieces that I am working on and it is my Heaven and Earth Designs.  I am continuing to work on getting sections of a page finished and just getting a few stitches in at a time is making me feel like I am seeing some progress on this piece.  There are 20 pages of pattern on this piece and 4 of the pages aren't full pages but the other 16 are.  I have finished one of the partial pages and I am now working on getting some of the full pages done but that will take some time as they are rather large.

11,000 member design - Jan 26
11,000 member design - March 2
Linen and Threads - 11,000 member design - this is a piece that I stitched in January and then decided that I would stitch it again using some of the floss from my stash so I pulled out a lot of over-dyed flosses and worked on it this week.

The smaller picture is showing you what the pattern colour was and the larger picture is my new version of the piece using my flosses.  I enjoyed both of these pieces and am now looking forward to framing both of these.

Linen and Threads Mystery SAL 19 - March 3
Linen and Threads Mystery SAL '19 - on Thursday morning the March section of the design was posted and it wasn't long before quite a few people had it finished.  I started it Thursday evening and I finished it Sunday afternoon.  Of course, I didn't get a lot of time to stitch during the week so I made sure I had at least started it Thursday evening with a few stitches and then the weekend was when I could actually sit down and work on it.

Roses - February 19
I am now going to be waiting to see what April looks like as it was wonderful to have a section that only took a few hours to stitch instead of the parts last year that took days to stitch each month.

Roses - March 3
Roses - here is another Heaven and Earth Design that I am stitching but it isn't a full coverage piece. My goal for this is each month for me to have at least stitches in on it as I would really like to see this pattern finished quickly but considering it is 64 pages quickly isn't going to be really that quick.  I do aim for at least one page finished each month so I hope to see more of this design stitched through this year.  I was able to get a page finished already this month so will see if I can get another page finished before the end of the month so that I am a little bit ahead on the overall project. The fabric has been moved on the frame now so that I can start working on another page of this piece so will see when I can get the time to do just that.

The week ahead is like all the other weeks with work needing to get done as well as other things that need attention and then I will see what time I have to do some stitching.  Not sure what I will be working on this coming week but I have a few things that I might work on so will just have to wait and see.  Hope everyone has a great week and finds a bit of time to do the crafting or whatever they love to do.
