Progress on projects

Here it is the start of another week so that means it is time to see what I have been able to achieve and deal with the things that have been doing on around us here.

The weather continues to be a roller coaster as we have one day where we are nice and warm and then the next day, we need the long sleeves and a heavier jacket. It makes it difficult to manage everything but at least we have been able to move a lot of things forward even with being cooler during the day.

Peppermint Pressie - here is the first project that I decided to work on as my goal was to try and get it finished so that I am closer to getting the ornaments that I want stitched completed. It does feel good seeing that I have been able to at least continue to move these ornaments forward.

So, this week I was able to get this design completed and it makes me happy to know that I have been able to continue to get things accomplished. This project isn't very large so that means that I am able to continue to move it forward and see it completed before too long. I do love the beads that I am using for the berries because it was to be just one colour for one stitch in each of these sections. It felt like it would be nicer to have some beads on this piece so that is what I decided to do. Both Peppermint Pressie and Festive Fox have the beads and that makes me so much happier.

Festive Fox - here is a piece that I started this week and have been working on moving it forward. This is the third time I have stitched this piece, and I am looking forward to getting it finished. Being able to see that I have been able to continue to move this piece forward feels good. Once this piece is finished, I will have one more ornament to stitch in this series and it is Peppermint Pressie, so I am getting close to having these ornaments stitched and ready to be finished as ornaments before Christmas 2026.

Vintage ABC's - H - here is the next ornament that I started in this series and it makes me happy to see how much of it I have been able to complete. I haven't been able to focus on this project very much this past week but at least I have been able to make some progress on it so that is what matters. Hopefully this coming week I can continue to move it forward and maybe even get it finished.
Sophie Scarf - this week I decided to try and work on another Sophie Scarf, and it has felt good being that i have been able to at least move this project forward a little bit. This scarf is very easy to work on as long as you remember what row you are on. It is just 8 rows and the only row that is different is the 8th row so something that you can move forward relatively quickly if you can remember to focus on your counting.

I have been enjoying working on this shawl because I know that it doesn't take a long time to get it knit so that is going to be a project that I try and continue to move forward this coming week. Just knowing that this is a project that I don't need to really look at the pattern other than at the beginning, very middle and then the end means I can just pick it up and work on it and see that it is moving forward.
Serpentine Pavillion Shawl - this is the project that I had hoped to be able to move forward quite a bit this week, but I only was able to achieve just one more cable section completed. I understand that I was focusing on some of the other projects so know that just being able to continue to move the other projects forward does help.

This coming week I would like to see that I have been able to move this project forward because know that it is getting closer to a finish would make me happy. I thought I would have been further along than I am, but I am not being to stress about it, and I know that this week I will try and see how much of it I can get done.

Other projects - well, I have picked up my EPP projects and am happy with the progress that I have been able to make this last week. I might not achieve a lot of goals but at least I am finally seeing some progress on at least one of my projects. I am looking forward to being able to show my progress on my EPP projects at the end of the month.

I hope everyone is finding that bit of time each day to do something that helps you recharge your personal battery. It doesn't matter what it is as long as you can sit and do something that you enjoy. For me my crafting is my time to recharge so being able to move the various projects forward makes me feel good.

This coming week there are a few things that I need to get done and then I will see what crafting I can get done. I have a few little goals that I would like to achieve but I am not going to post them here because I don't want the pressure that I would feel to achieve them.

If things go well this coming week, I should have some more progress to show you next Monday. I am haven't figured out the projects that will get my attention, but I do know that I am going to work on moving things closer to a finish. Have a good week and remember do something each day that makes you happy.

More progress, finishes and another start

Here it is the start of another week and of course I have been able to make some progress on a few things. The weather here has once again been a roller coaster. We have had some cold days and then a couple of warmer days and hopefully things will start to warm up.

Post Office - this got some more attention this week as I have been trying to move this project forward a bit more. I have been trying to get more of the stitches in and hopefully I can continue to move this forward even if I only work on it a little bit each week. Seeing that I can continue to get this piece moving forward makes me feel a little better.

Of course, there is going to be looks of beads on this piece so we will see how things go. I do have a bunch of these kits, so you are going to be seeing Mill Hill Kits are part of my stitching over the next while. If I can continue to at least work on this a bit at a time, I should be able to see some good progress until I have to do the beads. The beads will be done all at the end so now to see how long it takes me to get to that point.

Vintage ABC's - C - here is a piece that I decided to start this week. It didn't take me long to stitch up this piece as it is just under 60 x 60 stitches and with only three colours they work up quickly. I am going to be working on all of the letters but have decided that I am not going to do them in order so I hope that it will be a little bit more fun. I think the next one that I will be working on will be H.

Letters completed - A, B

Peppermint Pressie - it was time for me to start another one of the ornaments that I am trying to get completed. I started this on Saturday and so I haven't been working on it for very long but love the progress that I was able to make on it.

This project is another project that doesn't take long to stitch when you can focus on it. I have been working on other things as well, so it has taken me longer to get this much done then I thought.

Button Box Throw - I have continued to work on this piece and having a lot of fun on it. I am still working on some of the small balls of yarn and have continued to enjoy the progress that I have been able to get done.

I have an idea where it is going to stop but I think I still have five more balls of yarn that will be added and then I think it will be finished. It's been a project that I continue to enjoy working on and it's great one for just picking up and working on things when I have just a bit of time.

Sophie Scarf - as this was a smaller knitting project I figured it wouldn't take me long to finish if I just sat and focused on it. I decided that on Monday I was going to sit and work on it until it was done and that is what I did. The scarf doesn't take a lot of yarn, so I was using a partial ball of yarn that was left over from my Hedgerow Shawl.

I hope to be able to make another Sophie Scarf before long, but it will be using the other green yarn that was left over from my Hedgerow Shawl. This is a simple project to do and something that doesn't take long and that makes me happy.

Other projects - I did pick up my English Paper Piecing this week, but I will write about that the end of the month as I hope to have some progress to show you. I did enjoy it and that ended up taking some of my cross stitch away but that didn't bother me.

This coming week I am not certain what I am going to be working on. I know that I have some cross stitch projects to try and continue to move forward and I do have a shawl on the needles that I should get back to working on. Projects will be decided when I go to pick something up to work on.

I hope everyone has a good week and you find some time each day to do something that you love doing. If things go as planned, I would like to have some progress to show you next week.
