A bit of progress

Roses - May 20th
Here it is Monday morning, and I have been able to make a bit of progress on my stitching.

Roses - now this is the project that got most of the attention this week, and it didn't get a lot of attention.  I was able to get some more work on a page, and one of the pages is now finished.  I have 19 pages finished on this piece so at least I am making some progress on it each day.

Roses - May 26th
I decided I was going to work across the top of the pattern so that I could at least get the entire top section done, so that meant working on getting the butterfly completed.  I have to admit that I didn't realize how much detail was in the butterfly until I started stitching it.  It has taken me quite a while to get the stitching in on the butterfly so far, and I still have quite a bit of work ahead of me to get it completed.  I love all the little detail that starts to appear when you can stop and look at the piece from a bit of a distance  When working on this piece I really don't see the detail until I put it down at the end of the evening to take a picture and look at the progress I have made.  There have been days when I have only got a few stitches in and other days I have got a couple of threads, but every stitch is at least some progress.

Spring Garden - Needlebook - May 20th
Spring Garden - Needlebook - May 26th
Spring Garden - Needlebook - this project almost didn't get any work done on it this week, but I decided that late Sunday I would at least pick it up for a little bit and get one thread done on it, so that is what I did.  I have now started the border around the entire piece and will see how long it takes to get it completed.  I had hoped to have this piece done by the end of May, but it looks like I may be looking at some point in June to get it done. It doesn't bother me because at least I am making some progress on this piece.

This week I am not sure how much stitching I will be able to get done, but I will be trying to at least get a few stitches in on Roses each day.  I have a lot of other things that I need to get done so that will be the main focus again this week with making some time to stitch at the end of the day.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week and you continue to find time to do the things you enjoy doing.  It doesn't matter if it is 5 minutes or a lot of time each day but making sure you do what you enjoy is important.

Some progress this week

Roses - May 12
Here it is Tuesday morning, and I have a bit of progress on a couple of projects this week. The weather is finally starting to warm up here in Ontario, which is excellent and now to see if we have a few warm and sunny days.

Roses - once again there is some progress on Roses for this week.  I was also able to finish off another 2 pages on the pattern, so that was nice.  I continue to work on this a little bit each day and am enjoying that.  Of course, there are days when getting even a couple of stitches in is a significant accomplishment when things get hectic.
Roses - May 20

The good news this week was it was time again to move the q-snap so that I had another area that I could work on and I am now working towards the right side of the top section of the pattern. I am looking forward to getting move of the pages worked on, and I think before too long I will start to see another rose begin to appear, or at least I hope that it happens soon.   I have 17 pages now completed on this piece, and I am looking forward to seeing if I can get another page finished before the end of the month and I think I should as I don't have much more of it to complete.  Some of the pages are nice and quick to finish  if I have already done some of the stitching on the page and then other pages seem to take quite a while due to the amount of actual stitching involved.

I will again try and work on this project each day even if it is only a couple of stitches, but at least it is progress, which is what I want.

Spring Garden - May 8
Spring Garden - Needlebook - this is the project that I also decided to work on a bit this week as I wanted to see if I could get the center sections completed.

Spring Garden - May 20
I hadn't picked this up for about a week and figured as this isn't a very big project I would try and get a few more stitches in on it before the end of this past week.  I felt that trying to get the planter and the plant finished would be a good goal and before the end of yesterday, I was able to get that done.  Now what needs to be completed is the border around the entire piece which is going to take time to do, but I think it might be one of the projects that I try and continue to work on a bit at a time even this week. The border is broken down into four sections, so I think I will try and work one section at a time or at least that is what I think I am going to try and do.

This week is a short work week, so that means that I have some things that I need to get done so now to get working on them and see what the rest of the week is like.

I hope to find some time each evening to put in a few stitches on at least one of my projects and I hope you can find the time to do something that you enjoy doing.

Another week with a bit of progress

Roses - May 6
Here it is Monday morning, and there is a little bit of progress from the last week.  It was a busy week, but at least most evenings I was able to find a little bit of time to stitch.

Roses - May 12
Roses - I continue to work on this piece a little bit each day, and it is slowly coming to life.  I finished another page in the last week and am now working on getting another page finished before too long.  I have touched the top of the design and also the centre of the top of the piece.

I hope to continue to work on this piece and will see how much more I can get done before the end of the month as I would like to have to move the q-snap before too long, but that still means some more stitching.
Spring Garden - Needlebook - May 3

Spring Garden - Needlebook - this is the project that I worked on when I met up with some friends for a stitch night.  I was able to get a bit of work done on it but also had to take out one of the flowers as I had it in the wrong place.  Now that it is corrected I am hoping to get some more of this piece done before the end of the month.

Spring Garden - Needlebook - May 8
I am enjoying how quick this piece works up, and I know that when I start to work on the outside border, it isn't going to be as fast a stitch, but at least I hope to have the centre of the entire piece done soon.

I hope to have the basket and the bunch of flowers completed before the end of the month, but if I don't, I can always continue to work on it next month.  I don't have a deadline of when I want this finished so it is just stitching when I can on the piece.

Unleash the Butterflies - Apr 23
Unleash the Butterflies - I figured it was time to get Unleash out again to see if I could make a bit of progress on the page that I was working on.  I was able to get one of the sections finished and will need to look and see how much more of the small page I have left to complete.  I would like to have the bottom page finished before the end of the month, so that is what I am going to try and focus on the next time I pick up this project.
Unleash the Butterflies - May 9

Unleash the Butterflies is taking quite a while to get another page finished, and part of that is because I haven't done any focused stitching on it.   I am looking forward to seeing it before the end of the month I can put in some time on this project and maybe see another page finished as well as progress on the next full page which I already have some work done on.

Hope everyone has a great week and you find the time to do the things that you love to do.  I am not off to try and get some work done and then maybe this evening I will pick up my stitching and at least get a few stitches done on Roses and then will see what the rest of the week is like.

Where did the week go?

Roses - April 28
Here it is Monday morning, and I have to admit that I am not sure where the last went has gone.  Yes, it has been a busy week, so I know that is one of the reasons why I am not sure where it went.

Roses - I continue to make some progress on Roses each day even if it is just a few stitches.  I am happy with what the piece is looking like and can't wait to see that I have reached the top of the design which shouldn't be too long from now.
Roses - May 5

One of my goals this month is to reach the top point of the design, and that will also mean a nice milestone for the overall piece.  This weekend I was able to finish another page, so that means I have now completed 14 out of the 57 pages of the pattern.  Yes, it is slow progress when you only get a few stitches done each day, but at least I have been able to continue to move this piece forward a little at a time.

Linen and Threads Mystery SAL ' 19 - May 3
Linen and Threads Mystery SAL ' 19 - once again I was able to make some quick progress on this piece and was able to get it done in a couple of evenings of stitching.  I love how this piece is turning out and look forward to the beginning of each month when we get the new section.  I am not sure what section we will be getting for June but no matter what I will be looking forward to once again picking up this piece and seeing how long it takes to get the next section complete.

Linen and Threads Mystery SAL '19 - May 3
I decided that I would add the picture of the entire piece to date so that you can see what it looks like.  It has been a nice piece to work on, and we have already been told that there is going to be a Linen and Threads Mystery SAL '20, so that is nice, but we won't find out anything until late in the year.  We may find out the size of the fabric we need but other than that we won't know the design until January 1st, 2020.

Spring Garden - May 3
Spring Garden - needle book - this is a project that I decided to work on after finishing the scissor fob that goes with this book.  I am not sure how long this piece will take to complete, but I hope that this week I will be able to make a bit of progress on it.

I have at least got two of the sections outlined so getting them filled in will be nice, and then there is a border that goes around the entire piece so that may be the section that takes the longest to complete.  I am not sure which section I will work on next, but I look forward to seeing the entire piece come to life.

Mahala Barber - May 5
Mahala Barber - this design is once again part of the Linen and Threads family, and it is a section from a sampler by the name of Mahala Barber.  Brandon Kirk of Fox and Rabbit designs provided this section of the chart as a complimentary design after doing a podcast.  I saw the piece and decided that I needed to stitch this piece up, so I kitted it up and have now just got a bit of a start on it.  The project isn't very large so I will see how quickly I can get this one completed as well.

Last week was a busy week for me and this week looks about the same.  I hope to get together with some friends one evening for a Stitch Night but other than that I will have to see what time I get for working on the various projects.

Hope everyone has a great week and again find the time even if it is just a few minutes each day to do the things that you enjoy doing.
