A week of progress

Unleash the Butterflies - April 21
It is Monday morning, and before I start my blog, I will let you know that it might be a bit longer than usual as I was able to get some progress on a few projects this past week.

This week instead of working on a couple of projects I was able to make some progress on a few of them

Unleash the Butterflies - April 23
Unleash the Butterflies - I didn't get a lot of progress on this page, but that doesn't bother me as I was able toget a bit more progress on the overall design.  I decided that I was going to try and work on getting to the edge of one of the pages so that I knew where that was and instead of stopping at the edge of the page I continued to work on a bit of the black that was right at the bottom of the pattern.  I like how this piece is coming together and am looking forward to being able to work on it some more over the next couple of weeks.  Besides working on Roses, this might be the project that gets the most attention in May, but I will have to see what I feel like.

The overall project isn't going to be something that gets done quickly, but at least if I can continue to get a few stitches in on this piece each week, I will be happy.  If things go well I should be able to get the small page at the bottom completed within the next couple of weeks, but I will have to see how that goes.

Roses - April 21
Roses - I continue to work on this piece a little bit each day, and that is helping me see a bit of progress on the design.  I was able to finish another page on it this week, so now I have completed 13 out of the 57 pages. I still have a long way to go on this piece, but I have been enjoying seeing each of the little sections of the roses and the leaves appear.

Roses - April 28
I have been able to add a few stitches each day in April so far, and I am thinking that I am going to try and add a few stitches each day in May as well so that I can continue to see that the Roses are getting completed.  My overall goal for this piece at the beginning of the year was to get 12 pages completed this year, and I have already done that so now to see if I can get some more pages finished.  I would like to be halfway through this design before the end of the year so will have to see how things go.  I don't think it would be difficult to get that done if I continue to at least get 10 stitches a day in on the pattern.

Hit Any Key - April 8
Hit Any Key - now here is a project that hadn't got any attention since the beginning of April so I figured it was time to pull it out and see if I could at least get a few stitches on it before the end of the month.

Hit Any Key - April 28
The biggest challenge with this piece currently is the amount of white and light colours that are at the bottom of the design.  I was trying to work on it, and the lighting wasn't the best, so I decided to try and work on some of the other colours which were a lot easier to do.  I have been working on a couple of the different sections of the design and am feeling a little better as I am now starting to figure out what some of the areas are.  I know it will take some time to see the overall design but at least I have started to see the book a little better and now to see what I can get to appear before the end of May.

The Stitcher - April 12
The Stitcher - this past week I decided that it was time to pull this piece out and get it finished.  I didn't have a lot of stitching left to do so I figured picking it up and getting it done was necessary, so in one evening I was able to get the little guy stitched up, and the piece is now finished.

The Stitcher - April 25
I do have one more of this series to complete, and that is The Snipper so I will probably be picking that one up soon as these are nice quick pieces to complete.  Once all three of the pieces are finished, I will figure out how I want to finish them and then I might try and complete the needle book that these pieces are also part of.

Spring Garden - April 26
Spring Garden - this is a scissor fob from a pattern that was released at Nashville Market this spring by the Blackberry Rabbit.  The actual pattern is for a needle book, needle roll and a scissor fob.  I decided that as I wanted another quick finish this week that I would pick up the scissor fob and maybe get it finished.  It didn't take me long to get this piece stitched up, and now I have decided that I am going to make the needle book as well from this pattern in the next while.

Yes, this last week I was able to pick up, and work on a few different projects and I think it is what I needed to do.  I saw a couple of quick finishes as well as some progress on other pieces, so overall it was a good week when it came to my stitching.  I love finding time to sit and work on the things that I love and yes it is a method for me of recharging and also refocusing my mind.

Hope everyone has been able to find the time to do the things that they love to do and will continue to do that.  I now need to go and get the work done that is currently sitting on my desk and then will see if I can get some stitching done later this evening.  Tomorrow morning the Linen and Threads May section should be released so that will be one of the projects for this week and then I will see what else I can work on.,

Have a great week and I will see what gets my attention this week.

Some progress

Roses - April 14
Here it is Monday morning, and for some people, it is a holiday, and for others, it is a work day.  For us, it is another work day and now a quick update to show you what I have been working on.
Roses - April 21

Roses - I continue to work on this project a little bit each day and have been happy with the progress that I have been able to make on it. The next rose is slowly coming to life, and that is great, and I will then see what I can do on this project.  It is fantastic to see the piece a bit at a time, and I hope to be able to take a picture of the entire piece again before too long.

Roses will continue to get a bit of attention each day as it does make me happy to see that I have been able to work on this piece each day so far this month and will hope to continue to do for a while longer.

Unleash the Butterflies - April 14
Unleash the Butterflies - one of my goals for this month was to try and get a page finish on Unleash the Butterflies, and I was able to do that this weekend.  I was able to get the page finished, and then, of course, I continued to stitch on it to see how much more of it I can get done.  I am loving how this design is turning out, and it is something that I keep saying that I want to work on as I am looking forward to seeing more of the piece come to life.

I have got part of one of her arms done and can now start to see the rest of the arm to appear.  I am not sure how much more time I will be spending on this piece, this month, but I know that in May I will be trying to work on it again to see if I can get some more of it done.
Unleash the Butterflies - April 21

I continue to work on little bits of other projects, but there isn't much to show on any of them.  I would like to see if I can spend some time working on the various projects that I have on the go and maybe soon see some more pieces get some attention.

I hope everyone had a great Easter if you celebrated it.  I now need to start to get to the work that I need to get completed and then will see if I can get a bit of time this evening to work on at least Roses.

Have a great week and remember to try and find that bit of time each day to do something that you enjoy doing.

Progress on pieces and one comes out of hiding

Roses - April 7
Here it is the start of another week, and I have some progress for the last week.  It felt nice being able to work on a couple of different projects this week.

Roses - this is the project that I am trying to work on a little bit at a time.  My goal for April is to put stitches into this piece each day, and so far I have been able to accomplish that.  Sure, it might be only 10 stitches or so, but at least I am continuing to move this piece along.

Roses - April 14
On Roses, I have been able to get 11 pages done so far, and that is making me feel good.  The one part was this week I finished two pages, but they were pages that had very little stitching, so they were quick finishes. I have also almost finished another page, so that will mean that hopefully by the end of this week I will have 12 out of the 57 pages finished on this piece.

Unleash the Butterflies - March 26
Unleash the Butterflies - this piece got a bit of attention this week as it had been sitting while I was working on the Linen and Threads Mystery SAL.  It felt good seeing that I was able to make a bit more progress on this page of the pattern and I hope that by the end of the month, I will have completed this page.

Unleash the Butterflies - April 14
The design still doesn't look like a lot, but I know that once I have the change to move onto some of the other pages, it will start to come to life a little more.  The page I am currently working on is basically her forearm, so there isn't a lot of detail in that, but I know that there will be a lot of detail when I get up a bit higher, but I need to get across the bottom pages before I start moving the design up.

Hit Any Key - April 7
Hit Any Key - after starting this project last Sunday, it got just a little bit more attention this week.  It is a project that won't be getting a whole lot of work done on it this month, but I know that it will continue to see bits of stitching done on it as I would like to see how it starts to come alive.

Hit Any Key - April 8
You can't see much of the design right now and stitch white on the piece doesn't show up very well either but it will once I have been able to add some more of the colours when I get the piece moving forward.  We will see how much more stitching I can accomplish on this piece through the rest of the month as right now the focus is on Roses and Unleash the Butterflies.
The Stitcher - Nov 22

The Stitcher - now here is a project that has been in hiding for quite a while.  This is a nice quick stitch, but it got put away before Christmas when I was trying to get Temperature, and the 2018 Mystery SAL finished.  This week I decided to pull this out and give it a little bit of attention, and after part of an evening of stitching, I was able to see some good stitching completed on it.  I won't be putting this piece back into hiding as I would like to see it finished before too long.  I enjoyed stitching on this piece as it was something that I could see some results very quickly compared to all of the other pieces that I have been working on this week.
The Stitcher - April 12

After I finish The Stitcher, I have one more of this design to complete so hopefully I will be able to get that one out and stitched up soon as well.

Some of my knitting and crocheting projects are getting little bits of attention but nothing that I can show as a row here or there doesn't make a piece look much different.

It is now time for me to get some of the projects that I need to get done for work moved forward.  Hope everyone has a great week and hopefully you will find some time to do the things that you love doing.

A small finish and some progress

Roses - March 31
Another week has now come and gone, and it is time to show what I was able to get accomplished in the last week.

I was able to make a little bit of progress on things, and that was nice and now to see what this week has in store.

Roses - I was able to work on this piece a little bit each day.  I decided that in April I was going to try and work on this piece every day even if it was just 10 stitches.  I was able to get some of the top section done beside the big rose, so that was nice.  The lower part was already done so there was a bit of progress but not a lot.

Roses - April 7
What the stitching from last week meant was I had to move the q-snap, and now I am going to be working on the section above this rose and will see how things go. I hope to be able to see a little bit of progress on this piece before the end of this week, and I hope to continue with the stitching every day on this piece.

Linen and Threads Mystery SAL '19 - April 7

Linen and Threads Mystery SAL '19 - this was a quick stitch as it was a nice small section that needed to get done.  I am loving how this overall piece is looking and now this piece has been put away until the May section is posted at the end of this month.  I may add some embellishment to the overall piece, but that is going to have to wait until the entire piece has been stitching in December.
Hit Any Key

Hit Any Key - this week was a week where I wanted to start another piece, so I kitted up Hit Any Key by Heaven and Earth Designs and made a very small bit of progress on the piece yesterday.  Yes, the colours are white, light pink and beige so they don't show up very good right now, but they will start to look a little better once I have been able to add some more of the colours which I will do when I pick up this piece again.
Hit Any Key - April 7

I am not sure how much progress I will get done on this piece in the next couple of weeks, but I am looking forward to seeing this piece come to life.  If things go well I might be able to get a bit more stitching done on this but will see how things go.

Life has been a little busy this last week, so now it is time to get some work done that I need to get done first thing this morning and then continue to see what else I can get done.  I hope to have a little bit of stitching time each evening as I do enjoy seeing a bit of progress on Roses each day and it is my quiet time before going to bed.

Hope everyone has a great week and you can find the time to do some of the things that you enjoy doing.
