Moving forward slowly

Konecny Logo - Apr 17th
This past week there wasn't a lot of time for crafting so I decided to focus on just one project when I had the time to sit and stitch.

Konecny Logo - Apr 21st
Our company logo is slowing starting to appear and I am happy being able to work on this project.  It is something easy to work on and I am going to be very  happy to be able to hang it in our office once it is done. I was able to finish up the word "consulting" and that is the only other colour that is on the design.  This means that I should be able to make some progress on this piece when I can find some time to work on it again.

Other than working on this project I did make a couple of baby hats but that was all the crafting that I was able to find time for.

The focus over the weekend was actually sitting and working on getting a few of my cross-stitch projects framed.  This is what takes the time as you have to ensure the piece if absent of any folds before you start the stretching of each of the pieces.  The other fun part is figuring out which frames I was going to use for each of the projects so that is what took some time. The stretching of each piece takes some time to ensure that they are straight on the mounting board.  Because of the frames that I used I had to use some thinner mounting boards and that meant a bit of a challenge but at least we were able to get all of the stretching done.

I hope to be able to have pictures of all the pieces that we have been framing by next week.  A couple of them have already made it into the frames so I am  hoping that the rest of them will be finished up within the next couple of days.

This week is another busy week for me so I am going to see if I find some time to craft.  If not that's fine because I know that it means that I have been getting work done. It's time to try and get some work done so that I can continue to work on the framing this evening and then see what the rest of the week has in store.

A finish and some progress

Growf - April 9th, 2016
This last week I was able to find some stitching time some evenings and that made me very happy.

Growf was the first project that got the attention and that was because I wanted it finished before the weekend.  I am happy to say that Thursday evening I was able to finish the project and now it is waiting to be framed.  Growf was a quick and fun project to work on as it didn't use a lot of colours and is only around 5 inches so it isn't big either. Of course, once Growf was finished it was time to pick up something else to see if I could make some progress on it.
Growf - April 14th, 2016

Once Growf was finished I had planned to pick up a project that I had on the go but then sat and realized that I needed something simple to work on for a while. Most of the projects that I currently have to work on are bigger and are a lot of colours and take quite a bit of concentration.

What this meant was it was time for another start and this start is something that I have wanted to do for a while and it is only two colours.  The project that got started on the 15th was the Konecny Consulting Logo.  This is the logo that we have been using since our business was incorporated which was in 2009.  I decided that it would be nice to have a version that we could hang in our office so converted into a cross-stitch pattern last year.  It has been sitting and waiting to be started and now finally I have been able to put a bit of time into the project.
Konecny Logo - April 17th, 2016
This is another hopefully quick project because it is only 3 inches by 10 inches so will see when it gets enough attention to get finished.

Sugar - March 17th, 2016
This weekend I decided that considering I had a bit of time that I would pick up a project that I started in January and it has been getting little bits of time since then.  This is a cross-stitch of a Bichon Frise that I took a picture of last year.  I am trying to get this project worked on but it is a larger project at around 10 inches square.  It is going to be taking me some time to get project completed but it was nice having a little bit of time to actually put a few stitches in on it.

Sugar - April 17th, 2016
Of course there are a lot of other projects that I have started that are waiting for some attention and I am hoping to get back to some of these other projects in the next while as well.

It feels good knowing that I have been able to make some good progress on a number of the projects that I have on the go. I don't have a lot of time to work on these projects so I try and get the most out of my stitching time.   There are times when the simple projects work extremely well and those are when I know that focusing on a lot of counting and colour changes isn't going to work.

I hope to be able to continue with my stitching as I have been enjoying seeing the progress that I have been able to make on some of the projects that I have on the go.

This week will see how things go and will see if stitching is part of the evenings.  It's now time to get some work done and then hopefully there will be some stitching time in the evenings.

Another week

Growf - April 2nd
Once again finding some time to stitch in the evenings was a challenge for me the last week.

The project that got all the cross-stitch time was Growf and I am happy to be able to see some progress on the piece.  It isn't a difficult piece so it is working up quickly which is making me happy.  I would like to have this piece done by the end of this coming weekend so that is what I am going to be trying to do.
Growf - April 9th

Other than working on Growf, I was able to find a little bit of time to crochet and worked on a couple more baby hats.  The pile of hats is growing and it is making me happy because at least I have been able to get little bits of time most evenings even to get a couple of rounds done on a hat.

It has been amazing how busy we have been the last couple of weeks and now I hoping that this week that I can find some time to stitch some evenings.  Yes, that does mean that the work will have to be completed first and then I will be able to sit and stitch.

Yesterday while sitting and working on a course that I am taking, which is also taking some of my time, I was able to start a baby afghan.  The nice thing about the baby afghan is I can work on it a bit at a time while I am waiting for the computer to finish some of the steps that it needs to do for the course.  I have been laughing at part of the course because with it being an IT course I am really seeing the click and wait that I hear so much about.  At least, I am using my waiting time to be a little bit productive and that is helping me deal with the times that I am just sitting and waiting.

Now to get some of the work done that is waiting to be done and will see how much time this week in the evenings that I will be able to find even a little bit of time to sit and craft.

Extremely slow progress

Growf - March 23rd
Well the last week of March was an extremely crazy week for me.  There were quite a few things that needed  my attention so that meant that crafting just had to wait.

Growf did find a bit of time but that was it.  I have to admit that I would have loved to have even a couple more hours of stitching time last week but it just didn't happen.  Hopefully this week I will be able to find even a few hours to see if I can get a bit more stitching done.

Growf - April 3rd
Of course having the time to stitch means that I also have to make sure that all the work has been accomplished first.  I am also going to be trying to start some of the framing of all the projects that I recently finished.  Having all the pieces framed will also make me happy because then they will really be finished and not just sitting and waiting to be stretched and framed.

Work is keeping my busy right now so I am not sure how much time I will find this week to stitch but will see what happens.

Winter weather returned here over night so everything is once again white so will see how long that lasts.

It is now time for me to get back to the work that I need to get finished today.  Maybe later I will be able to find a bit of time to stitch but will have to wait and see.  Until next week, hope you can find the crafting time that you are looking for.
