Making some slow progress and a new start

Here it is the start of another week, and hopefully I will be able to spend some time working on moving everything forward even just a little bit. Of course, I have work things that need my attention but after that I will see what crafting I am able to accomplish.

Mini Magic of Books - here is the project that was called for WIPGO for October so it was time to see if I could make some progress on this piece. I decided that I was going to do something a little different this time and I wanted to see if I could reach the top of the piece. When I looked at where I was on the left side I figured it was possible to get that much done.

The interesting part of this section especially the left most section was there are two colours in that little section so that meant a lot of counting so that I could get the colours in where they belonged. It was nice to see that I was able to at least touch the top of this piece, so I now have all the sides touched, so now to see what happens when I pick this piece up again.

I am not certain how much more attention Mini Magic of Books will get this year, but I am very happy with the progress that I was able to make on it. At first this project was just going to remain tucked away, but I am glad that I was able to at least make some progress on it this year, and we will see what happens next year.

Juno's Garden - yesterday I decided it was time to start a new project as I haven't had a new start for quite some time, so this is the project that I started. I recently picked up this piece when I heard about a group of designers that had decided to design some charts for charity. The group is We Are The Threads of Unity and they have a shop currently on ETSY where all the proceeds of these charts go to Cancer Research UK. These charts are only available through December 31, 2025 so I knew it was time for me to at least pick up one of these patterns.

I decided that the first one that I would pick up was Juno's Garden so a couple of weeks ago I picked up some nice silk thread to stitch this piece with so it was time to at least make a little start on this project. I am not certain if I will be putting this piece away just yet as I am thinking that I might enjoy some stitching on it this week and see how much of it I can get completed.

Little Meg Shawl - large version - here is the knitting that I have been working on. It has been nice having this project to work on as it has helped me focus on my knitting for a little while. I have been trying to at least do some knitting most days and this is the project that I have been picking up to get some progress on. I still have a long way to go on this shawl as I have just completed a little over 15% of the shawl. This is the project that I will continue to focus on as I would like to see how quickly I can move it forward.

Of course, I have been trying to keep the project on my straight needle as long as I can, but I think I will soon have to move it to the circular needles so that I don't risk dropping stitches when I am pickup up the project to work on.

Other projects - last week was a very busy week with a two-day conference so there wasn't a lot of time to work on anything else. This coming week I hope to be able to find even a little bit of time to work on my EPP projects, but we will see what happens. This week is once again another different week so we will just have to wait and see what happens.

I hope everyone is finding that little bit of time to do something for yourself each day. It does make a big difference even if you are only able to find a few minutes to do something for yourself. This week, I hope to be able to spend some time at least moving a project or two forward so we will see how it goes, and I will let you know next week.
